Privacy

This explains what we collect when you order from or contact Belly Bless Kitchen, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it to what we need to cook and deliver your food.

Who we are

Belly Bless Kitchen is a home kitchen in Eastbourne, run by Jade. We’re responsible for your details. Questions about your data: bellyblesskitcheneastbourne@gmail.com.

What we collect and why

  • Your order: name, delivery address, phone number, email, what you ordered and any note you add. We use these to make, deliver and email you about your order. Legal basis: to carry out our contract with you.
  • Allergies: the allergies you tell us about at checkout. This is health information, so we only use it to prepare your food safely, and only because you’ve chosen to give it to us. You can ask us to remove it after your order is delivered.
  • Enquiries: what you send through our catering or contact forms, so we can reply and quote. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
  • “Tell me when pre-orders open” emails: your email address, only if you sign up. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: your consent.

Payments

Card payments (including Apple Pay and Google Pay) are handled by Stripe. Stripe processes your card details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.

Who else sees your details

We don’t sell your details or share them for marketing. They’re only seen by the services that help us run the shop:

  • Stripe, to take payments;
  • Hostinger, which hosts this website and sends its emails;
  • Yellow Lemon, who built and look after this website and its order app for us.

We may also share details if the law requires it.

Cookies

We only use cookies the shop needs to work: to keep your basket and checkout together, to remember your allergy answer while you shop, and Stripe’s cookies to keep payments secure and prevent fraud. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

  • Order and payment records: 6 years, because the law requires us to keep business records.
  • Enquiries: up to 2 years, unless they turn into a booking.
  • The pre-orders email list: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your details, to correct them, to delete them (where we don’t have to keep them by law), or to stop using them. Just email us. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we change how we use your details, we’ll update this page.
